There Are New Car Deals to Be Had This Memorial Day

By on June 3, 2023
For the past few years, new-car prices have obviously been climbing, so it’s nice to learn that there are some traditional Memorial Day deals out there this year. With the pandemic fading away and the related supply-chain problems sorting themselves out, we’re back to perks like low financing offers and factory discounts. The best deals available knock around 10 percent off the price of the car but don’t expect that sort of sale on everything on the lot.For years, Memorial Day has been on the rotation for holidays that often come with deals at local car dealerships. It’s the…

2024 Chevy Colorado Adding ZR2 Bison Off-Road Truck

By on June 1, 2023
For most people, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 offers plenty of performance for high-speed desert runs or slow-speed rock crawling. But there are a select few that will require more. For those drivers, the bigger and badder 2024 ZR2 Bison should fit the bill.Just like last year, Chevrolet has partnered with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) to make the ZR2 even more capable. The amped-up Colorado ZR2 will once again utilize the Bison name and come with a host of upgrades that make it look more menacing and more capable off-road than the regular ZR2. A lot of the large components…

Mullen Automotive Stock: Not Worth Your Hard-Earned Money (MULN)

By on May 28, 2023
Mario TamaMullen Automotive Inc. (NASDAQ: MULN) is an electric vehicle company based in Brea, California. It manufactures and distributes electric vehicles, including passenger and commercial vehicles, according to Seeking Alpha’s description. They’re also known for their solid-state polymer battery technology, which should have changed the concept of electric vehicles a few years ago, judging by articles written by previous authors. I came across this company rather by accident – one of the articles ended up in Seeking Alpha’s “Trending Analysis” section, and I decided to take a closer look. What I found surprised me, to say the least –…

The green deal industrial plan and automotive sector impacts

By on May 24, 2023
European automobile manufacturers have expressed concerns about the risks posed by the United States’ Inflation Reduction Act and the possibility of ‘investment leakage’ out of the European Union (EU). Also, due to the arrival of Chinese government-subsidized EV manufacturers, more and more brands like NIO, Xpeng, BYD, Byton and several Geely brands have become visible on European streets. Without stronger financial and regulatory support for nascent industries, the scale of the subsidies available in the US and China may attract green and advanced technologies at Europe’s expense – from development to production and manufacturing. The four pillars To address this…

Chrysler Airflow EV May Not Be Built After All

By on May 22, 2023
Chrysler is in direct need of new vehicles. The American automaker is hanging on by a thread with just three vehicles – the 300, Pacifica, and Pacifica Hybrid – in its lineup. When Chrysler announced plans to become an all-electric automaker by 2028, we were excited to see what Chrysler had in store. Partly because the electric revolution meant a rebirth for Chrysler and because it meant that the striking Airflow concept would actually go into production. That was Chrysler’s plan all along – the Airflow would become the brand’s first EV and mark Chrysler’s transition to an EV brand…

Car dealerships encounter more shoppers paying cash

By on May 20, 2023
“What’s causing that is that so many people have gotten sticker shock” at the interest rates available, Eleazer said. Customers are not aware of the rise in interest rates that have taken place since the first quarter of 2022. When a customer whose last loan had a 2.9 percent APR is offered 7.9 percent today, “they’re about to lose their mind,” he said. As a result, customers opt to pay cash instead. “It’ll level out,” Eleazer said. “It always says.” Interest rates today are like those before the 2008 financial crisis, he said, a point he also makes for customers.…
