Alfa Romeo has revealed a unique 33 Stradale model, the Perla Nera, which replaces traditional paint with a hand-laid carbon-fiber body. This one-of-a-kind vehicle is part of a limited series of 33 custom 33 Stradales crafted by Bottega Alfa Romeo, the brand’s custom creative division.
A Stealthy Design
The Perla Nera, meaning Black Pearl, showcases a matte-black carbon-fiber body that emphasizes the car’s curves. Each panel is molded with hand-placed carbon fiber sheets, creating a seamless and striking design. The directional fiber on the hood mirrors the V shape of the front end, while the sides sweep toward the rear, maintaining the all-black theme.
Every detail, from the wheels to the mirror caps, is finished in black. Even the logos are rendered in black and gray, ensuring a cohesive and uninterrupted aesthetic. The only exception is the Quadrifoglio, or four-leaf clover, which adds a subtle pop of color to the launch button and door panel.
Performance and Customization
Under the hood, the Perla Nera is powered by a 630-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. This setup allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under three seconds and reach a top speed of 207 mph. The ultra-light carbon-fiber body contributes to its exceptional performance.
The interior features black Alcantara upholstery and carbon-fiber accents, with personal touches throughout. The driver’s seat is custom-fitted to the owner’s body, and the Perla Nera wordmark appears on the doors, seats, and panels. The owner’s initials are engraved on the gear shifter, adding a unique touch to this bespoke vehicle.
Collaboration and Exclusivity
The Perla Nera is the result of a direct collaboration between the owner and Bottega Alfa Romeo, part of the BottegaFuoriserie custom creative hub shared with Maserati. Only 33 units of the 33 Stradale will be produced, each tailored to the owner’s specifications. Inspired by the 1967 33 Stradale, these cars blend heritage with modern craftsmanship.
The Perla Nera will be on display at the Alfa Romeo Museum until October 18, offering enthusiasts a chance to see this stealthy salute to carbon fiber up close.
