Alpine has unveiled the A310 Vision, a concept car that takes inspiration from the French automaker’s classic sports car. The new concept gives the classic a very modern twist, resulting in a striking machine that looks poised to turn heads.
The A310 Vision celebrates two important anniversaries: the original four-cylinder A310 debuted in 1971, and the more muscular V-6 version arrived five years later. Alpine’s designers borrowed elements from both models to create something entirely new.
The company brought an original A310 into its design studio to help guide the process, resulting in a remarkably faithful tribute with modern and future tech. The proportions are notable, with the car stretching 179.1 inches from front to back and standing just 46.5 inches tall.
It says the rear takes inspiration from Formula 1, while the pop-down headlights up front are a feature meant to push limits and allow for new interpretations of this design language. The vehicle is built on Alpine’s new Performance Platform, known as APP.

The architecture is being developed for the brand’s next generation of electric sports cars, including the successor to the A110. It hasn’t revealed any horsepower, torque, battery, or performance figures for the A310 Vision.
Inside, the study showcases a semi-transparent canopy that offers a glimpse of sculpted seats, contrasting colors, and physical controls reminiscent of high-end audio equipment. This blend of futuristic styling and old-fashioned tactility creates a unique cabin atmosphere.
According to the brand, the A310 Vision is strictly a design study. Some elements could end up in production someday, but the car as a whole will likely not be produced.
