The Lamborghini Revuelto SV has been teased as it sets a production car lap record at the Hockenheim racetrack in Germany. Lamborghini test driver Marco Mapelli achieved a lap time of 1:41.6 in the Revuelto SV. This record, while perhaps of limited interest to the general public, provides an official glimpse of the highly anticipated model ahead of its reveal.
The Revuelto SV is an upgraded version of the standard Revuelto, which already boasts an impressive 1,001bhp from its 6.5-litre V12 engine and three electric motors. The car can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 2.5 seconds.
The prototype features aero enhancements, including a more aggressive front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser. A large fixed rear wing replaces the standard car’s active spoiler. A roll cage is also visible, possibly for track testing. These modifications suggest a focus on improving downforce and stability at high speeds, aligning with the SV’s performance-oriented goals.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann stated, “Every element of the car has been developed with the goal of taking performance to an even higher level, enhancing the driving engagement and emotion that have always defined our brand.” Mapelli added, “The extraordinary harmony between car and driver allows you to exploit its full potential, inspiring precision and confidence even at the limit.”
The official reveal will take place on August 14th at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. SV, short for Super Veloce, has been a hallmark of Lamborghini’s most extreme V12 models, excluding the Countach, and signifies the pinnacle of the brand’s performance capabilities.
